Description
This tour is designed for those who want to experience the beauty and tranquility of the Winelands and sampling the great wine that the region produces. It is also a tour to experience African Wildlife on African soil. About 300 years ago the region was teaming with Elephant, Rhino, Cape Lion, Leopard and Cape buffalo. Alas, as the Cape Colony grew, they were hunted almost to extinction! Luckily, during the last twenty years, wildlife that used to be indigenous to the Western part of South Africa has been re-introduced to the area. Aquila Private Safari are leaders in this re-introduction program. It is a work in progress and much is still to be done, however it is a great opportunity to see these beautiful animals back in their natural environment.
