One will experience the scenic beauty, the history and culture and the incredible wildlife of this most extraordinary country. The itinerary covers five of South Africa’s nine provinces including Swaziland, the Garden Route and Kruger National Park. The tour starts in Johannesburg and ends in Cape Town with the final five days left to enjoy one of the worlds most popular destination cities. Day 1
JOHANNESBURG | PRETORIA
On arrival at O. R. Tambo International Airport you will be met by your Tour Guide who will assist you with the arrival process and escort you safely to your touring vehicle. On arriving at your hotel one of our representatives will brief you on the itinerary and answer any questions that you might have. Depending on arrival time there will be suggested sites for you to visit at your leisure.

Day 2
PRETORIA | KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
The morning is spent taking in the attractions of Pretoria after which we proceed to a Game Lodge in the Kruger National Park. The route takes us through the towns of Dullstroom and Lydenburg, with lunch at one of these towns. After we travel through the Strydom Tunnel with views of the Oliphants River before arriving at the Game Lodge situated on the edge of the Kruger Park. An itinerary of the game viewing and safari activities over the next couple of days will be supplied on arrival.

Day 3
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Today you are taken on a full day Driving Safari into the heart of the Kruger National Park where you are likely to see the big five and much more. This is a unique experience and you will enjoy lunch while on the safari in the African bushveld. Your professional game ranger will be with you at all times. Other options is a shorter evening safari and an early morning safari allowing more time to relax at the Lodge. On your return you can relax with drinks before dinner which is at the lodge boma.

Day 4
BLYDE RIVER CANYON | PANORAMA ROUTE
A Full Day Tour of the Panorama Route which includes the Three Rondavels, Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, Wonder View and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. The tour includes many stops and lots of photo opportunities. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Bourke’s Luck potholes, and a visit to the historical gold prospectors town of Pilgrim’s Rest. We arrive at Hazyview in the early evening after a great days touring.

Day 5
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK | MALALANE
Today we enter Kruger National Park at the Numbi Gate for a driving excursion into the Southern region of the park. Southern Kruger is famous for an abundance of Rhino and numerous Lion prides. The lunch stop will be at Skukuza rest camp which overlooks the Sabie River. After a Full Day of game viewing we head towards the southern gate of the Kruger and to the town of Malalane arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner will be enjoyed at a hotel restaurant overlooking the Crocodile River.

Day 6
SWAZILAND | KWAZULU NATAL
We enter Swaziland at Jeppes Reef Border Post to begin our trip through Swaziland, we will stop for lunch at the Royal Swaziland Sun after which we continue to the border post at Golela where we re-enter South African province of KwaZulu Natal. We then proceed to Lake St Lucia which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to 1200 Nile Crocodiles and at least 800 Hippopotamus. Dinner will be in town at a recommended restaurant.

Day 7
ZULULAND | DRAKENSBERG
The morning is spent exploring the Greater St Lucia Wetland and then we travel inland following a route through the rolling hills of Zululand which have been the battle fields of many wars fought between the mighty Zulu Nation and the British and Boers settlers in their quest for a piece of Southern Africa. The lunch stop is at one of the famous battlefields of the region. A battlefield tour is a recommended option where you will learn some of the fascinating historical facts from a local historian. In the early afternoon we arrive at Drakensberg Mountains.

Day 8
DRAKENSBERG | SANI PASS
After a relaxing breakfast you have the day to enjoy and savour the area, there are many options from hiking trails and a 4×4 trip which negotiates the highest mountain pass in Africa, the Sani Pass. At the top you can enjoy a beer at the highest Pub in Africa! Ancient rock art trails and pony rides in the mountains are also available. Another option is just to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of this world heritage site!

Day 9
TRANSKEI WILD COAST
After breakfast we depart from the Drakensberg and continue to travel overland through Southern KwaZulu Natal and then into the Transkei. Our destination is Port St John’s and the Umngazi River Mouth which is located along the so called Wild Coast with it breathtaking and rugged Betty. We arrive at the Wild Coast in the late afternoon where you can relax around the pool before dinner which is at the lodge.

Day 10
WILD COAST TRANSKEI
You wake up in one of the most amazing places on the planet, it is a truly unique location with unsurpassed scenic splendor. This is also an open day which is your special time in a very special place. The activities include river cruises, fishing with the locals, walking with cows on the beach, one of the only places in the world that this happens and probably best of all just to relax and savour this special place!

Day 11
WILD COAST | EAST LONDON
After a relaxing experience and fully refreshed we depart from the Wild Coast and head inland through the rolling hills of rural Transkei passing through Mthatha which is the biggest town in the region. We will have a pre-packed lunch at a scenic stop along the route, arriving at the seaside City of East London in the afternoon. The hotel situated on the beach front and there are a variety of fine restaurants in this area.

Day 12
EAST LONDON | PORT ELIZABETH | GARDEN ROUTE
After breakfast we depart from East London and continue along the National Road (N2) heading ever more South. A lunch stop is at Summer Strand in Port Elizabeth which is South Africa’s fourth largest City and an important sea port for imports and exports! After this the landscape begins to change as we approach the Garden Route. We arrive at the Tsitsikamma Forest in the afternoon.

Day 13
GARDEN ROUTE | TSITSIKAMMA FOREST
Today there is a Full day of amazing activities to enjoy in this amazing setting. The Tree Top Canopy tour, the world’s highest bungee jump (218m), Storms River Mouth, Big Tree Hike and much more are all available. The day is spent visiting and participating in these unique activities, everything is a short drive from the lodge and you are guaranteed to enjoy this Full day of activities immensely! Possibly the highlight of your holiday so far!

Day 14
GARDEN ROUTE | KNYSNA
After a late breakfast we depart the Tsitsikamma Forest and make our way further down the Garden Route. We stop at the Crags with its many factory shops and fine craft markets for a little shopping. Then we visit Birds of Eden the world’s largest enclosed aviary. A visit to monkey land is also part of the experience! Lunch is at one of the many scenic places along the route. We arrive in Knysna in the afternoon. Once we have checked into the hotel we take you to the Knysna Waterfront for dinner where you can choose one of many fine restaurants that are available.

Day 15
KNYSNA | OUDTSHOORN
The morning is spent exploring some of the attractions in Knysna. We visit the famous Knysna Heads which is the deep water channel into the lagoon. Around mid-morning we depart from Knysna and make our way over the Outeniqua Mountains to the Karoo and the town of Oudtshoorn. This region is famous for its Ostriches, Cango Caves as well as spectacular mountain ranges. In the afternoon we visit Cango Caves for a guided tour into this subterranean world. After this we arrive at a country lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 16
OUDTSHOORN | GANSBAAI
The morning activity is a visit to an Ostrich Farm where you will be introduced to these fascinating oddities of nature and even have a chance to ride one if you wish. After this we depart the Oudtshoorn region and head south across a mass of spectacular mountain passes with ever changing landscapes! Lunch is along the route at one of the many towns. Our overnight destination is the coastal town of Gansbaai famous for it’s Great White Shark Cage Diving.

Day 17
GREAT WHITE SHARK DIVING | GANSBAAI
An early breakfast and an early start as today you meet Great White Sharks in their natural environment, the South Atlantic Ocean. This stretch of South African coast is home to the greatest numbers of white Sharks on the planet. The Shark diving activity takes half a day and once you return to shore you can enjoy some craft beer at the Birkenhead Brewery. The afternoon is spent travelling to the seaside town of Hermanus where you will overnight.

Day 18
HERMANUS | COASTAL DRIVE
The morning is spent enjoying the town of Hermanus with its fantastic views over Walker Bay. There is also a great market in the town square. After lunch we depart on a coastal route where you will visit a fascinating Penguin Colony and a Botanical Garden. We arrive at a country hotel in the heart of the winelands in the early afternoon where you are free to relax in this exotic location.

Day 19
STELLENBOSCH WINELANDS
After a late breakfast you are ready to enjoy a day of wine tasting at some of the most sought after wine estates in the world. We have put together a selection of no less that four wine farms that are famous for there export vintages. There is also a cheese and wine paring on the day. Each wine farm has been selected not only for the excellent wine but also for its scenic location. This will be a very special day indeed.

Day 20
CAPE TOWN | CAPE POINT
You are collected for a Full day tour of the Cape Peninsula with all it’s attractions. You will travel South along the Atlantic coast with stops at Hout Bay Harbour with an optional boat trip to Seal Island. Then there are the Penguins at Boulders Beach and finally you arrive at the Cape of Good Hope where you have lunch and then the afternoon to explore the area. There are a selection of great hikes and the majestic setting is something to behold. You return to your hotel in the early evening. Dinner can be at the Cape Town Waterfront with its huge selection of fine restaurants!

Day 21
CAPE TOWN | TABLE MOUNTAIN | RED BUS TICKET
You are supplied with a two day combo ticket for the Cape Town RED BUS which is a hop on hop off service covering the City and all it’s attractions. This is the best way to explore the Mother City at your leisure. The route includes Table Mountain and all the museums. This is a perfect time to do your own thing and really get to know the City. Your itinerary will include a list of all the recommended things to do on the day.

Day 22
CAPE TOWN | ROBBEN ISLAND
As this is the last day of your South Africa trip we have supplied you with a ticket to Robben Island which is a World Heritage Site and the place that Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 18 years of his life. The Robben island Tour is conducted by ex political prisoners who will give you a fist hand account of what it was like on the island during those dark years of apartheid. Depending on your flight departure time or weather you have added some extra days to your South African trip you are free to spend the remaining time at the Waterfront.
