Winelands & Great White Shark Diving Tour

2 Days 1 Night

This is a fun two day tour that combines the best of the Cape Winelands with one of South Africa’s most adrenalin pumping experiences, Great White Shark Cage Diving.

Day 1

We collect you at around 08h45 and proceed into the heart of Cape Wine Country. First stop is Fairview Wine Estate which includes cheese tasting. We then visit Lindhorst Private Winery to sample some of the best reds in the Paarl Valley. This is a unique experience that lets you experience the difference between a large commercial wine farm and a small boutique winery, you tell us which you prefer. Moving on we visit the town of Franschhoek and then lunch at La Petite Ferme.

The afternoon is spent at BOSCHENDAL, Stellenbosch and the last wine estate of the day EIKENDAL with their superb range of sparkling wine. After a full day in the wine country we make our way over the Hottentots Holland Mountains heading for the coastal town of Gansbaai where we will spend the night at SAXON LODGE. Saxon Lodge is a luxury guest house overlooking the harbour and just a short distance from the Sharks.

Day 2

After a good full English breakfast at Saxon Lodge, we depart for Kleinbaai (Little Bay) which is where we will meet Brian McFarlane and his crew for your close encounter with the GREAT WHITE SHARK. Brian’s custom built catamaran “APEX PREDATOR” will take us to Dyer Island & Shark Alley where you will meet Great Whites up close and personal. This area is widely believed to have the greatest concentration of these magnificent predators anywhere on the planet.

The Shark diving takes about 4 to 5 hours, returning to shore at around lunchtime. The afternoon is spent travelling back to Cape Town on a completely different route which includes one of the best coastal drives in South Africa, keep your eyes peeled as you might spot whales along the route.
