7 Days in Cape Town

Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town

From your base at a luxury boutique hotel, we allow you to experience CAPE TOWN to its fullest through a selection of day tours spread over seven days, covering the best attractions of the region.

Every day will bring something new and you will savour the best that Cape Town has to offer. From Robben Island to the Winelands you will see it all in a relaxed and thoroughly entertaining way. This is the ultimate way to enjoy Cape Town.

You will

  • have complete peace of mind knowing that your personal Tour Guide and vehicle will be at your service during the seven days
  • see all the main attractions and learn about the history and dynamics of the Cape through your guide’s vast local knowledge.

You will not

  • have the stress of having to look for places or driving on unfamiliar roads
  • be restricted to a vigorous time schedule as we build the day around your preferences - a late start or an earlier start is not a problem.

During your holiday we are completely flexible. For example, if we have TABLE MOUNTAIN on a certain day and the cloud comes over, we simply re-schedule and slot something else into place, this way we are sure that we will show you all Cape Town has to offer while you are there.

Itinerary - sample

The itinerary below is a sample of a 7 day package in and around Cape Town. We can design an itinerary that includes all or some of the tours on our website. Our Touring Itineraries are not limited to 7 days as we can build any number of days touring options into a tailor made holiday for you.

NOTE: All multiple day touring options are regarded as PRIVATE TOURS.

Day 1

In the morning we take you to the top of TABLE MOUNTAIN via the Aerial Cable Car. You will enjoy all the views of the Mother City from various vantage points on the mountain. The Dassie Trail is a wonderful hike along the flat table top to Mc Clears Beacon - at 1086m above sea level the highest point on the Table Mountain range. These are some of the many things that you will enjoy on top of this world famous landmark.

Upon returning to the upper cable station coffee or a light brunch at the Table Mountain Restaurant can be enjoyed.

We then depart from Table Mountain and head for the V&A Waterfront and the Gateway to Robben Island. The ROBBEN ISLAND trip takes about 4 hours and is a very powerful experience. You will relive the hardships that NELSON MANDELA and his comrades had to endure through the eyes of an ex-political prisoner. You will also experience the vibrancy of the Waterfront, the most visited place in South Africa.

Day 2

Experience the CAPE WINELANDS by visiting a number of pre-selected wine estates. You will taste some of the finest wines in the region and also have an opportunity to purchase wines of your choice to enjoy during the remainder of your Cape Town Holiday.

In South Africa it is acceptable to take your own wine to restaurants where a nominal corkage fee will be charged, so you get to enjoy your personally selected wine over dinner. This is a full day and includes a wonderful picnic lunch under the trees at Boschendal Wine Estate near FRANSCHHOEK. A great day trip!

Day 3

The Cape Peninsula and CAPE POINT rate amongst the top 5 things that you must do while in Cape Town. On this full day tour we take you to the meeting place of the two great Oceans, the INDIAN and the ATLANTIC - this is a heated debate and we will explain the technicalities surrounding this claim!

Along the route we visit all the attractions and will enjoy a beach picnic at BOULDERS BEACH, famous for the Penguin colony. Your bathing costume is a necessary item to bring along on this one. The day is packed with interesting facts and gives you an idea as to how privileged Capetonians are to live in the Cape Peninsula.

Day 4

Shopping, shopping and more shopping. We reserve this day to visiting some of our shopping destinations, CENTURY CITY, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (V&A), art galleries, jewelers and basically anything you would like to shop for we will take you there. It is possible to split this day into a variety of things as it is essentially an open day. So if he wants to play golf or go surfing and she wants to shop we will arrange everything, as well as making some useful recommendations.

Day 5

A SAFARI excursion that takes you out of Cape Town for a day to AQUILA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE. This is a 4 hour drive from the City and takes us through some magnificent countryside. This is an opportunity to experience at least 4 of Africa’s big 5 up close. Lion, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant are all there, including the Cape Leopard. However, as the Leopard is nocturnal, you are unlikely to spot any unless you are very lucky. The Hippos make up for it though. You can easily make this an overnight experience and we recommend it highly.

Day 6

GREAT WHITE SHARKS or Southern Right WHALES are on the program on this day. We take you overland to the seaside town of Hermanus for whale viewing or Gansbaai for a close encounter with Great White Sharks. The day is packed with action and the return trip is via a completely different coastal route that shows you another part of beautiful Cape Town. Add to this a visit to a private brewery to sample some delicious and unusual beers. Another great day!

Day 7

As it is the last of your 7 days in Cape Town we use this opportunity to let you explore the vineyards of the Constantia Valley. What better way to reflect back on all your experiences of the last 6 days than over a glass of GROOT CONSTANTIA red under the Oaks. Lunch will be at La Colombe Restaurant or any one of a dozen highly recommended restaurants in the Valley. The afternoon will be filled with a stroll around the world famous KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL Garden situated on the Eastern slopes of Table Mountain.
