Our Cape Point & Peninsula Tour is a Full Day experience which offers great variety with magnificent mountain passes and breathtakingly beautiful seascapes at every turn. On this tour you will be introduced to a fascinating range of sight-seeing, as well as gaining an understanding and appreciation of the rich and colourful history that surrounds The Cape of Good Hope and the Peninsula. The tour begins with a drive along the Atlantic coast to the fishing harbour of Hout Bay with its informal market! A boat trip to see the Cape Fur Seals at Duiker Island is an optional choice on the day. Next is Chapman’s Peak drive with its magnificent views and then the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach. Lunch will be enjoyed at a highly recommended pre-booked restaurant along the route. After lunch we arrive at Cape Point where you can take the funicular to the historical light house with sweeping views over False Bay and the Peninsula. You then have the choice of completing the popular scenic hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope where your Guide will meet you for the return trip. The Cape of Good Hope hike takes about an hour depending on fitness, the other option is to drive which is also good. The return trip to Cape Town is along a completely different route travelling through the seaside towns of Scarborough and Kommetjie (little basin) before heading over Ou Kaapse Weg (old Cape Road) and arriving back in the City late afternoon.
