OVERNIGHT: CAPE TOWN
ROBBEN ISLAND AND TABLE MOUNTAIN
We combine two of Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks in a Full Day experience that will be both spectacular and also emotional as well! When you visit the cell that Nelson Mandela lived in for 18 years of his 27 year incarceration, tears have been known to flow. The day is divided into two parts, Table Mountain in the morning and then Robben Island in the afternoon. This is because weather can be a factor, normally the conditions are more favorable for the mountain in the mornings! Lunch will be at the V & A Waterfront.
OVERNIGHT: CAPE TOWN
CAPE POINT & PENINSULA TOUR
With its breath-taking scenic beauty and rugged coastline it is one of the Cape’s most popular day Tours. You will enjoy many attractions from African Penguins, historical towns and unique flora and fauna at the mighty Cape of Good Hope with a walk to the Cape Point Lighthouse. A stop at the most South Westerly tip of the African continent is also quite stunning. This day Tour must rank amongst the best in the world when it comes to variety. Other highlights are Baboons, Coastal towns, Mountain Passes and much more. Lunch can be at the Two Oceans Restaurant or along the route as there is plenty to choose from.
You wake up in the winelands and after a hearty breakfast you start your private winelands tour. Your guide will take you to a selection of top wine estates where you will sample the product at your leisure. Cheese paring as well as a cellar experience is part of the day. After a full day in the winelands with at least four wine estates under your belt we make our way over the mountains to the seaside town of Hermanus where you will have time to prepare yourself for your in counter with the Great Whites!.
GREAT WHITE SHARK CAGE DIVING
After breakfast at the seaside town of Hermanus we depart from your Hotel early morning, depending on the tides, for a meeting with the worlds most feared and misunderstood predators, the “GREAT WHITE SHARK!” You will experience Shark Cage Diving at Gansbaai which is about an hour’s drive from Hermanus. The boat trip to Dyer Island and Shark Alley takes about half an hour and then you wait for the predators to arrive! If you are not keen to go into the cage then you are able to observe all the action from the deck, this is also most entertaining and exciting! After the shark experience, we sample some craft beer at the Birkenhead Breweries before we return to Hermanus in the late afternoon.
PRIVATE SAFARI LODGE
PRIVATE BIG FIVE SAFARI, we depart from Hermanus after Breakfast and make our way over the mountains to the Klein Karoo, travelling through the Hex River Valley to a Private Game Reserve. Arriving at the Game Reserve around noon you will enjoy lunch in the boma after which you can relax around the pool. Your evening Safari Drive is at 17h00 and you will be taken into the bush to meet the wildlife, this normally takes around two hours. Dinner is enjoyed in the main dining hall or out on the pool deck overlooking the reserve.
OVERNIGHT: PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
You are woken early by the Game Ranger for the morning game drive, which takes more or less the same amount of time as the evening drive! If you missed any of the animals the night before then this is your chance to see them. Coffee is enjoyed in the bush before you return for a wonderful breakfast. We depart from the Private Game Reserve at around 10h30 and follow a completely different route back to Cape Town. Along the route we have an opportunity to sample some excellent wine with plenty of scenic beauty and mountain passes. Lunch will be at the historical town of Tulbagh.
