This
tour is a classic touring holiday in itself, travelling
inland through the rolling farmlands of the Boland into
the Klein Karoo famous for its sheep farming and passing
numerous towns on the way we head for Oudtshoorn. The
Karoo town of Oudtshoorn is famous for two things, Ostrich
farming and the CANGO CAVES that were formed millions
of years ago to create a natural artistic masterpiece.
From
Oudtshoorn we travel over the spectacular Outeniqua mountain
pass to the lively town of George from where we take the
Outeniqua Choo Tjoe, a steam train, to the lagoon town
of Knysna. From Knysna we head for the Tsitsikamma Forest
and the great Storms River Mouth (Tsitsikamma National
Park) where you can enjoy a variety of activities from
rafting down the mighty river to gliding through the indigenous
trees 100 feet above the forest floor on a slide system.
As we head back to Cape Town we take a completely diffrent
route and will pop in at CAPE AGULHAS, geographically
the Southern most tip of africa.
All in all this will prove to be a great four day and
three night trip that could easly become slightly longer,
remember if you feel that you would prefer to spend a
little more time at a place it's no problem, after all
it's your holiday. Accommodation and meals along the way
will be of the normal high standard that you will be used
to. The Tsitsikamma Forest Inn is a really super place
in a beautiful setting.
