Apart from our standard tours, we also offer a great variety
of activities that are available in and around Cape Town.
The following are just a few such activities that you
can try if you so feel. We can put together specialized
excursions like, for example, the Art Route, where we
visit all the different galleries around the Cape. Take
a look at what we have and let us know, we can build any
one of the following activities into your tailor made
holiday package.
If you have a particular interest like Golf, Angling
or Bird Watching we are more than able to accommodate
you, in fact anything that tickles your fancy we will
do our best to make it happen.
This
day trip takes you away from Cape Town to the seaside
town of Gansbaai, GREAT WHITE SHARKS are found in abundance
just a short boat trip from the harbour.
My husband Tim has had a few personal encounters with
these unique creatures and he recommends the experience.
The encounter with the sharks is safe and professionally
handled by a reputable company. This just might be the
highlight of your South African experience.

The
Cape Peninsula National Park stretches for approximately
60km from Table Mountain to Cape Point. The mountains
offer a variety of excellent day walks that are great
fun. We supply a field lunch and you can enjoy a pleasant
easy hike accompanied by a field guide who will give you
info on the various flora and fauna on route. These trips
can be half-day or full-day depending on your fancy.

From
November to March it's Crayfish (Rock Lobster) season
in Cape Town and Kommetjie becomes the Crayfishing Capital
of South Africa, with up to 300 boats launching in a single
day from the village slipway. Seascape Tours have a fully-equipped
crayfish boat to take you out to the fishing spots to
catch your own Rock Lobster.
Tim has years of experience along this stretch of coast
and you are guaranteed to catch something for the pot.
When you return to the Guest House they will be only to
glad to prepare the catch for you, or we can prepare them
on the beach, with a glass of crisp Cape Chardonnay to
wash them down with.

Aptly
named the Cape of Storms, the coast of Southern Africa
has claimed many ship wrecks through the years, thus making
your diving experience even more exciting and eventful.
There are numerous excellent wreck diving spots along
the Cape Peninsula, many being just a short walk from
the road. We offer organised Scuba Diving opportunities
to suit the diving enthusiast. Whether it's from a boat,
or a more sedate group dive starting from a gentle beach,
Cape Town has it for you. Remember a certified dive license
is required for this one.

We
South Africans are crazy about surfing, mainly because
we have some of the best surf in the world. Whether you
are experienced or a complete novice, we can put a surfing
adventure together for you.
There are some world famous surfing breaks around the
Peninsula, like Long Beach in Kommetjie. We can supply
surfing lessons as well as surfboards so you don't have
to bring your own equipment. With a professional surfing
coach to help you, you will be surfing in a morning. The
surf spots of the Peninsula range from very gentle easy
swells to some monstrous big waves that compare to the
best in the world.

Just
a few hours outside of Cape Town we find the West Coast
National Park with its rugged beauty. Spring time on the
West Coast is truly a miracle of nature as the normally
rugged landscape is transformed into an explosion of brilliant
colours after the winter months.
This spectacle is an excellent example of nature showing
off, and therefore we have put together a two day tour
of this wonderland during the month of September when
the flowers are at there most awesome. This can be done
as a day trip if you wish, it depends entirely on you.
The West coast is an interesting place to visit throughout
the year and even out of season a visit to the park will
be a good day trip.

Cape
Town is fast becoming the place to be for large Game Fishing,
with professional charter companies operating from Hout
Bay and Simon's Town. The warm Mozambique current is found
approximately 40 miles off Cape Point and with it an abundance
of large Game Fish including Long Fin Tunny, Yellow Fin
Tunny and Marlin. Let us book you on a deep Sea Adventure
with one of the excellent outfits and you can experience
Big Game Fishing off Southern Africa.

Visit
and experience township life with the Xhosa people. During
the apartheid years these Townships grew, and with them
a whole new culture, see the markets, taste traditional
food and drink a beer in the local Shabeen (Pub). The
thing that will strike you most about the Townships is
the vibrance of it's people. We will visit one of the
local homes and the Township songome (witch doctor) and
you will meet our Township expert Winnie Sotiya.

Whether
you want to cycle to the Cape of Good Hope through the
Nature Reserve, or do some radical downhill runs in a
forest/mountain environment, the choice is yours.
Tokai Forest, the Capes most popular mountain biking
destination offers more than 40km of maintained down hill
tracks ranging from difficult (only the experienced) to
very manageable.
The setting is fantastic and if you are fit enough you
can reach the very top of the Constantiaberg mountain
range, enjoying spectacular views of the back of Table
Mountain to the North and as far as Cape Point to the
South. After enjoying the views you have the adrenaline
rush of the downhill dash to look forward to.

Enjoy
a hearty farm style breakfast at the Gift Restaurant,
one of the oldest homesteads in the Cape and then a leisurely
horse ride along one of Cape Towns most spectacular beaches,
the guide will show you the shipwreck of the Kakapo (1900)
along the route.
If you prefer a forest ride we can arrange that you experience
the beauty of Tokai Forest from the saddle. An experienced
rider will accompany you at all times.

Cape
Town boasts many excellent Golf Courses, so allow us to
introduce you to some of them. Dot's father, Jock Smith,
will be your host. Jock is an experienced golfer with
a low handicap and as a young man he used to play at St
Andrews, with his home town of Anstruther being close
by. He emigrated to Cape Town in 1968 and knows all of
the Cape Courses very well. He will be great company and
good competition as he is very competitive. Golf clubs
