Surfing

We South Africans are crazy about surfing, mainly because we have some of the best surf in the world. Whether you are experienced or a complete novice, we can put a surfing adventure together for you.

There are some world famous surfing breaks around the Peninsula, like Long Beach in Kommetjie. We can supply surfing lessons as well as surfboards so you don't have to bring your own equipment. With a professional surfing coach to help you, you will be surfing in a morning.

The surf spots of the Peninsula range from very gentle easy swells to some monstrous big waves that compare to the best in the world.

Surfing Lessons

R500 pp for a 2 hour lesson includes the use of a wetsuit and surfboard (R400 per child). After the lesson the wetsuit and surfboard may be used to practice your surfing. Equipment used during the lesson can be used for the rest of the day. The minimum age to attend surf classes is 5 years old. The eldest student to attend and master the challenge successfully was 65 years old.

Things to Bring: All students are required to bring their own swimsuits, towels, sun block and LOTS OF SURFING ATTITUDE!
